Garbage & Recycling Services in Gold River

Gold River is a recycling community operating under the Strathcona Regional District Solid Waste Management Program.  We are governed by the bylaws established by the Regional District and the rules and regulations established at the Campbell River Landfill.

We can be charged double at the landfill if our shipment is contaminated. A contaminated load is considered to have too many recyclable products contained within it, ie: cardboard, boxboard, tin and glass. If we do not recycle, the additional cost for not doing so will be reflected by an increase in garbage user fees.

REDUCE AND REUSE ARE MAJOR COMPONENTS IN THE SUCCESS OF OUR SOLID WASTE COLLECTION PROGRAM.  A concerted effort by all residents is required to achieve a cost effective recycling and solid waste program.
