Gold River is located at the end of scenic Highway 28, 54 miles (89kms) west of Campbell River. Visitors traveling by car from the north or south Island will find the exit easily from Island Highway 19. Follow the signs through Strathcona Park, then across the bridge between the lakes. To get to Vancouver Island by car, BC Ferries provides service from Tsawwassen to Duke Point or Sidney, Horseshoe Bay to Nanaimo, Powell River to Comox, and Prince Rupert/Bella Coola to Pt. Hardy on the north Island. (www.bcferries.com)

Zeballos gravel past Muchulat lake: Best to use a time guide as it is a tricky road from Gold River: 2 hours from Gold River to Woss and then another 20 km to Zeballos. Or travel from Campbell River 1.5 hours to Woss and take the turn off.
